What you’ll need:
- An iron (steam setting switched off)
- A flat, heat-safe surface
- A pressing cloth (thin cotton or baking paper works well)
- Our iron-on patches
- An item to decorate (our accessories are great bases for your patches)
1. Preheat your iron
- Set your iron to medium to high heat (around 150 - 180°C).
- Make sure the steam function is turned off.
2. Position the patch
- Place the patch exactly where you want it, with the glue side (usually shiny) facing down on the fabric.
3. Cover the patch
- Place a thin cloth or baking paper over the patch. This protects both the patch and the iron from direct heat.
4. Press with care
- Press the iron down firmly on top of the patch for 15 - 30 seconds.
- Do not hold the iron in one spot for too long, as it may burn the fabric.
- Hold it still with firm pressure.
5. Check and repeat if needed
- Lift the cloth and carefully peel up one edge of the patch to check if it’s stuck.
- If it hasn’t fully bonded, cover it again and press for a few more seconds.
- It’s better to press in short intervals and check often than to overheat the fabric.
6. Let it cool
- Once the patch is in place, let it cool completely before using or washing the item.
